Jerry J Bobb is a creator, innovator, Engineer, inventor, and culinary artist who has significantly impacted the cooking world through his restaurant, Super Taters (& More). Jerry’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a successful restaurant owner is a testament to his ingenuity, creativity, dedication, and hard work.
Born and raised in a very modest household, Jerry learned the artistry of cooking from his mother and grandmother. Despite not being a formally trained chef, he honed his culinary skills in the family kitchen, which he fondly refers to as one of the finest culinary “institutions.” These early experiences laid the foundation for his future endeavors and fueled his passion for creating something truly unique, authentic and original.
In April 2014, Jerry founded Super Taters (& More), his 100% independently owned and operated restaurant known for its innovative menu items, particularly the stuffed baked potatoes. Jerry’s creativity shines through in every dish, as he uses inspiration from his customers as he personally developed all the recipes on the menu. From burgers and wraps to salads, soups, quesadillas, and hot sandwiches, each item reflects his commitment to quality and originality.
After a few years Super Taters quickly gained recognition for its culinary excellence. The restaurant was honored as the “Best Restaurant” by the Times of Acadiana for four consecutive years and received the “Best Baked Potato” award for the same period. These accolades underscore the establishment’s commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences to its patrons.
Jerry’s success has not gone unnoticed. He was featured in the Marquis “Who’s Who in America” in 2022 and 2023, highlighting his contributions to the culinary industry. His story has also graced the covers of several publications, including Covenant Spotlight, Community Chronicles, and The Acadiana Advocate. Furthermore, his restaurant has been featured on multiple TV stations and their affiliates, such as Fox, KADN, KLFY, KATC, and CBS.
Jerry’s journey is a remarkable story of resilience and determination. Growing up he faced numerous challenges but never lost sight of his dreams. As a young adult, he worked tirelessly to save enough of his own money to open his establishment without the need for a bank loan. This experience helped solidify the value of hard work and perseverance, qualities that continue to drive him to this day.

Throughout his journey, Jerry has remained grounded and committed to helping others. In his next chapter, Jerry hopes to inspire and share the knowledge he has gained by setting up a Business Consulting Firm to help other businesses find their own footing. His goal; to be a real world example that ingenuity, creativity, dedication, and hard work can help overcome many obstacles.
