Cambio Roasters® Brews Success with iF Packaging Design Award Win!

Cambio Roasters®‘ Innovative Sustainable Packaging Solution Garners Prestigious iF Design Award, Pioneering Eco-Friendly Practices in the Coffee Industry

Cambio Roasters®, a leading innovator in the coffee industry, is proud to announce that it has been honored with the prestigious 2024 iF Design Award for Packaging. The award recognizes Cambio Roasters’ commitment to sustainability and excellence in design, specifically for its innovative coffee packaging solution, which was manufactured by Zenpack and designed by Haptik Studio’s Leo Chao.

When Cambio Roasters set out to launch its organic coffee pods to the K-Cup® market, it was imperative to find a packaging solution that aligned with its sustainability mission. Working closely with the Zenpack design team, Cambio Roasters engineered a molded pulp container and the lid secured with a glue-free paper belly band. This eco-friendly packaging ensures the freshness of the coffee pods and transforms into a countertop recycling bin once opened. It serves as a simple yet effective reminder for customers to collect Cambio’s new pods, which have been redesigned for easy recycling. The versatility of the packaging allows customers to recycle the bin or use at-home composting programs easily.

The iF Design Award is one of the most prestigious and relevant design competitions globally, with 10,800 entries from 72 countries. Winning this award is a testament to Cambio Roasters’ dedication to sustainable innovation and design excellence. The rigorous two-stage selection process by renowned design experts ensures that only the highest-quality designs are recognized.

Receiving the iF Design Award for their sustainable coffee packaging marks a significant achievement for Cambio Roasters. This prestigious recognition underscores the brand’s dedication to innovation and sustainability, validating Cambio’s efforts to push the boundaries of eco-friendly design within the coffee industry. As leaders in reinventing the traditional K-Cup® for a more sustainable future, Cambio Roasters remains committed to transforming the coffee industry. Its products and triple-bottom-line approach to business sets the brand apart, pioneering long-term, positive change in the coffee industry’s supply chain by encouraging a mindful and holistic approach to product design and manufacturing.

The iF Design Award Night will take place on April 29, 2024, at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin, where Cambio Roasters will join other winners from around the world to celebrate their achievements. The event promises to be a night of glamor, joy, and networking with the best minds in design.
